Signed this two names with the local reference "Zubilligheim. Again separated by a line which is followed by another entry, more than on the preceding page: "In 1787, the 17th of May my son (Peter Paul?) Was born in this world."
Other minor comments are added between the lines and written to the rear mirror. But they are faded and difficult to read.

are in the text itself, there is no hand-written notes, but many different bookmarks. Right in front on the front page of a printed Bible extract is loaded. Furthermore, (Stamp: Landau in der Pfalz) in several places red pieces of cardboard between the pages, a dried leaf branch, a piece of an envelope with stamp and seal, several small newspaper clippings and a flyer.
The leaflet is a copy of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (Jehovah's Witnesses Central Unit) with the location information Barmen Unterdörnerstraße 76th The Watchtower Society was there in the years 1909-1929 are based in Germany.
The newspaper clippings are from the area near Mannheim. One is dated April 3, 1947th Consequently, the Bible was heavily used and until the middle of the 20th Century. It is located in a long time since Family and was passed down through generations.

typography
For the German text of the Bible was used as writing a fracture. Only on the front page of the Latin terms as usual in Roman type are set. The font size varies. For example, the registers are usually printed in a much smaller font size than the main text, the smallest register with a 118-line script to the main text with a 65-line.

throughout the text, the words Lord and God have been awarded by either the word or the first two letters were put in capital letters (usually Lord and God).

The type area is in the main text composed of two wide columns. In the register stages, the changes of register to register between two and four columns. In addition to the page numbers in the title running head above can be found at the bottom of arc signatures, and curators, some in different font size.

Illustration found in the Bible, at irregular intervals and only in the Old Testament a total of 12 large woodcut illustrations. They are always printed on the recto side and tend to take slightly more than half of the page. On some of them a small note is the author of Woodcuts: ISNARD. The pictures were mainly of the explanatory Illustration, in about half of the illustrations are visual elements with letters or numbers, provided that explain in a legend below the image of these elements. A special feature is a eingeklebtes on the front flyleaf page. It is decorated entirely by hand and there is another owner notice by two lines of text in the lower center, "with this short book of Ver-honor Elizabeth I Haggi."

content and structure
is the full title of the Bible: "BIBLIA, That is the entire Holy Scriptures Old and New Testament, after the Germans and copyright D. Martin Luther, with each chapter short summaries, informative- prefaces all books beyder wills, presentation of the principal matters on top of a any Blat, instructions on Sundays and feast-day Epistles and Gospels, also beygefügten many, right, and with diligence fact within parallels, and division of the main and power-awards by an especially written to honor God and salvation to all souls eager for the best. After the blessed Lord Baron Carl Hildebrand von Canstein more correct edition again published in a rough pressure, with six USEFUL registers, also different to valuable new characters, and the unchanged Augspurger Confellion provided. "
Before the actual text is a preface to Martin Luther, a table of contents and as in the title already announced several printed register (register of time fürtrefflichen Holy Fathers, historical register, register of the main lessons of foreign languages to register and the register of the Epistles and Gospels for all Sundays and holidays). The Old Testament follows and is completed on page 620th With a new start page counting themselves with the Apocrypha, which are texts that have not been included in the biblical canon. The following New Testament starts counting again at the side of one (to p. 216). Lastly, the Augsburg Confession has been added 11 new sites counted.
has Towards the end of the Old Testament crept a Kollationsfehler: on page 607/08 follows the sheet with sides 615/16, 611-14 join in the correct order, 609/10 re-appear before page 617th One possible explanation is the fact that both the Journal also has a 607/08 615/16 no signature and the supervisor on page 608 is an AND. As on correctly following page 609 of the text on page 615 starts with one and. You have the page numbers probably not used as a guide for the collation.
